the latter!

There are two types of a journey, a short one, quick and abrupt, one that gets you to your destination as soon as possible, one that saves time! And then there come the long, seemingly endless and eternal ones! There is much more to these journeys than just the everlasting emotion of being a nomad and looking out of the window!

In a world where everything is evolving to become smaller and quicker and seamless, this latter form of a journey is exactly what doesn’t fit the bill! It’s slow and can get uncomfortable as the journey very often does stretch out on for hours or days or weeks or

maybe months! But these journeys are what speak the loudest, the most vibrant, the most diverse of all stories, these journeys speak humanity!

Strangers all around, nothing in common at all, someone is on this road since the beginning of time, and someone joined in right now, but one similarity between the infinite differences, "this journey!" You are there, so is someone else, a kid, or an elder, a student or a teacher, it’s almost impossible to know each one, but one thing for sure is that each one is on that journey, upon that path!

You meet someone, you say hello, a conversation, a comprehension! For the duration of your journey or just the duration of theirs, you are there, together! Sharing all your life stories, and all experiences! You learn, you admire, you appreciate... or you just brush it aside and walk away, either way, you met a stranger today!

As your journey ends, or as their journey ends, you disembark and head on your own path, knowing in full capacity that you may never meet again, but you carry them on with you, within their stories, within your conversations and comprehensions! Secretly hoping that

somewhere again upon this journey your paths cross and entwine! That you may meet them again, and as you take another step upon your seemingly endless, everlasting, and infinite journey, you meet someone else again, you say hello, a conversation, a comprehension!

Kissing it Goodbye!

Boom
Low and behold
I'm here, you're there, things between us; everywhere!
A few months is all it has been, a few months is all that is needed,
A few days would suffice too for what today has been greeted!
New beginnings, new places. A hundred new hellos...
A new song to sing,
A new melody on this flute we blow...
It's just been a small dip, in this vast wide pool,
It's just been a small step, a small one out of school,
I miss the old ways, such an understatement,
I'm excited for tomorrow, a bigger one so!
New faces are gleaming, each one with a graceful glow!
I'm scared, It's a new world now…
Not one that I have known…
But what more is reassuring, than something..
or someone unknown…
I'm learning how to love all over again…
Learning how to live now…
It's been one hell of a journey so far…
Then there is one hell of a journey tomorrow!!

silence...

What is silence?
Infinite definitions I have read, each as relatable as the next, yet I ask, what is silence?
Is it that sound of there being no sound around you? But if there is no sound how then can the sounds of silence exist?
If silence is truly a sound we hear, why is it then called silence?
Thereupon, is silence then an illusion?
Silence is that which exists everywhere and nowhere, at all times and at no times, but it exists in all of these situations ‘silently’ yet simultaneously!
It is something each one of us becomes oblivious to, just because its existence is everlasting and ever overshadowed by the noises of our minds!
Silence is an emotion, that which is felt by both, the soul and the heart! Then again, who is to say that the soul and the heart are not one?
Silence is both simple and difficult to define!
It is that which calms the mind, the heart, our soul; it is that which brings us to peace!
Then again shall begin the various discussions on peace, yet those are far from bringing any silence! In this text as well, I have referred to silence in numerable ways, each one again as debatable as the next, so I ask you again, what is silence?

emotions

Have you ever had this inexplicable feeling of emptiness within you? When what you are working on doesn’t seem to be working out!
Have you ever felt dissatisfied? Dissatisfied with something which is not at all how the films made you believe they would be!
Have you ever felt alone? So lonely that even though you had nothing to say, you were more upset that you had nobody to say it to!
Have you?
Have you ever felt so angry that you were afraid you might just kill someone?
Have you ever been so consumed by rage that you just broke down and wept?
Have you ever felt regret? The regret of doing something so unlike you that the tragedy engulfs you!
Have you?
Have you ever woken up one morning and just felt happy? Happy that a new day has begun!
Have you ever smiled at a random stranger on the street? And smiled again when they gave you a perplexed look in return!
Have you ever even smiled broader when that random stranger just smiled back at you?
Have you?
Have you ever felt so complete when a child holds on to your hand? So complete that for that moment that was all that you ever desired!
Have you ever felt; ever so innocently mischievous? Mischievous that someone might call you a toddler!
Have you ever just felt satisfied? Satisfied for what you have and grateful for it too?
Have you?
If you have ever felt even one of these emotions…
You have a reason, a reason to live!
Look back; find out what gave you that emotion? Positive or Negative… Figure out why you felt the way you felt and it shall dawn upon you! Either you will reduce something or increase another! But either way you will change! And change is what you must for it is the only constant in this world of variables!

So look back again, and change yourself just as life does, look back and find your reason to live! or even better so, find your emotion to live!
